Join us on Saturday Dec 10th for our Philadelphia Gala - A Celebration for the Animals!

Come celebrate with us and learn about The Humane League's groundbreaking efforts to reduce animal suffering! Hear from inspiring speakers, enjoy delicious drinks and mouthwatering vegan appetizers and desserts, bid on amazing prizes in our silent auction, and learn all about what your support of The Humane League means for animals!

Our Gala returns to Goldilocks Gallery this year. Nestled between Old City and Center City, mere steps from the Liberty Bell, Goldilocks Gallery occupies a space like no other in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. An enormous, loft-style complex houses its white-wall gallery, performance venue, and two floors of artist/production studios.

The Humane League has made monumental accomplishments this past year. We couldn't do any of this without your support so come celebrate with us at the best party in town!

* * Get your tickets early because prices go up the week before the event! Limited tickets will also be available at the door. * *

Our guest speaker of the evening will be Jack Griffin, President of Metropolis Farms! Jack Griffin is an accomplished entrepreneur, financier, and inventor. His inventions, businesses, and personal activities, center around; social justice, environmental responsibility, and economic sustainability. Through it’s innovative private and public partnerships, Jack’s company, Metropolis Farms Inc, is transforming Philadelphia into the world’s first vertical farming city. Metropolis is not only the first indoor vertical farm in Philadelphia, but also the first vegan-certified farm in the nation. Over ten individual 100+ acre capacity farms are planned for Philadelphia over the next two years. Other endeavors include the first solar powered vertical farm in the world (Solar Farm), a manufacturing facility (The Farm Works) and a research and development facility focused on the “Natural Optimization” of crops for both indoor and outdoor farmers (The Opp Farm).

You will also hear from our Philadelphia Grassroots Director, Rachel Black, about what we are doing on a local level for animals and from our Executive Director, David Coman-Hidy, on what we have accomplished at the national and international level!

Blue HippoBlue Hippopotamus, a three piece alternative rock band, will provide music for the evening. Founded in NY and now a Philly based band, they have traveled far playing clubs in LA, Chicago, Boston, Seattle, Portland, Detroit, Buffalo and North Carolina. Their sound is uplifting with a mix of songs that will make you want to dance and chill you out. Their sound has been described as Portishead meets The Police with a little Sigur Ros.
